|12:50 pm - Moving along...|
Oh, right. I made it back to the USA, and have remained in the country for more than 48 hours. Woo. The unit change trips (VT to Cayman, or back) are rougher on the way away from Celsius.
For New Years, the day after we got back, Mr. reticello drove up and spent the evening. It was a quiet evening of decadent homecooked food, the dogs, West Wing (season 1) episodes, and the hot tub. Of course, vermonster ran off to Boston for the duration.
I'm at my dad's empty office, and have managed to get my mom's beater laptop onto the network -- to upload the collection of pictures from the trip. It will be a while before I put them up, probably, anyway. But I will, and will send CDs. I did not get very many postcards sent... you'll get personal apologies. I was in a weird headspace for most of these trips and the postcards were not very inviting.
I've got my dog back, and the sutures were removed this morning. His arm still has a nasty bit of scar tissue, but it is mostly functionally and he still routinely beats up Katy (twice his size) -- but they've been getting along well. When I'm done here we'll take them for a walk and then I'll get in the car and go-go-go back to Pittsburgh.
I igned up for an all-night frisbee tournament in Pittsburgh for tomorrow night. Yanchak called me for advice between trips, and I felt like since I could I should. But aside from some running on the beach (etc) and mostly-daily stretching, I haven't worked out or done much movement in a month, and we'll see how it goes.
Good to be back.
