Tough Break

At the last minute, my father put together a ski trip. Someone offered him the use of their lovely Sugarloaf condo. Sunday I flew up to New Hampshire, and we took the long way (via the outlets) to the mountain. We had an adventure upon arrival, which I will relate when I put up pictures.

Today I had my second big adventure. By Eastern standards, I am a pretty good skier. By that I mean that there really aren't many, if any, open runs on a given Eastern mountain that I have cause to pause, let alone hesitate or avoid.

For the first time in many days of skiing, I fell. Hard. Twice. Ripped my new ski bib ($19.48), my face, and bruised, sprained or strained my knee and elbow. Sprained or broke my left index finger. Typing is ever so much fun with a couple of splinted fingers. So, my ski trip is over. Fortunately, it looks like there will be no actual consequences -- everything should be naturally healed very quickly. I already feel like I got hit by a truck, I dread the morning.
