|04:26 pm - Buffed and Moisturized|
Borrowing form from bucy's post today...
On the docket today:
- Spa treatment
- Gentleman's facial
- Deep tissue massage
- Men's Manicure
- Christmas tree construction
- robogock's Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving
- Fall League Finals Party
The spa day was arranged by Tessa, of course. This is what we call a compromise as we attempt to converge for the wedding and after-effects. This is my second facial, so that I will look my best for the wedding festivities... pretty obvious to everyone that I don't do this on a regular basis. The manicure was fascinating, if weird. While I have been going to the spa, Tessa has been preparing for married life a different way -- getting her Open Water diver SCUBA certification. Today was the last day of that until the checkout dives scheduled for our honeymoon in December. I think "fascinating, if weird" covers her take as well, although I think she is enjoying it more than perhaps she expected to.
We bought a synthetic tree for many reasons. I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it being synthetic... the whole tree part was non-optional. On hearing such plans, Tessa's mom ran out and purchased literally dozens of amazing old-style glass ornaments. So we're set there, and at least we won't have to deal with more leaves and wood disposal when we return in January.
On leaves and wood -- I've spent my last two weekends raking and chopping up wood removed during our demolitions. It is yet more vaguely satisfying and time consuming work-that-has-nothing-to-do-with-computers.
I think I only worked 50 hours, in office, this week!
A week from now I will be married.
