Creationist Doctor

This increases neither my respect for the seriously religious nor pre-med students. Investigations over whether the professor has to give a recommendation -- I can only imagine. I think the proper response of the professor, if the university had not taken the proper position, is to write the recommendation. With a lawyer checking it, of course, for libel. The next obvious suit -- that it wasn't 100% positive -- should be laughed out of any court.
It says something about the nature of the school (beyond just being in Texas?), that a professor even has to have an explicit policy about such things. I think he makes a reasonable case, and would support a similar policy for spiritual advisors.
