Hola Costa Rica

Greetings from Costa Rica.

My flight eventually took off, and found maryz waiting at the airport. She had been awake for over 30 hours, so from there, straight to a hotel. I got up the next morning and wandered about San Jose. Then we went to breakfast and decided to walk across the city to the bus terminal. And took a 4 hour bus ride in the middle of the day, straight across the country. A 35km cab ride later, and we were on a dark sand beach.

Today, when diving: surface temperature 90F, safety stop (15ft) temperature 87F, bottom (70ft) 82F. Doesn't get much better than that. My Advanced course is great -- today was Wreck and Search and Recovery, tomorrow is Deep, Underwater Navigation and Underwater Naturalist. Lots of fun. I'm about 90% toward making that step.

Maryz spent the day on the beach, and claims to be the most relaxed she's been in years. This is a serious change in personality, as I knew her first from the cranky CMU days. Relaxed people that you like when they are stressed out -- are even better.
