unhealthy? I've yet to see it, but I'm afraid that I'll have to try it if/when I find it. Even if it might be recalled. Apparently it is abundantly available in MA, and even eastern PA, but not anywhere near PIT. Damn.

Someday we'll have genetically engineering meat-beasts growing in our basements. "Honey, go down and carve off a flank roast for tomorrow's dinner party, would you?"

Someday, we'll have nutrient feeding systems, making the daily chore of feeding oneself obselete. Food will still be cooked, but it will be a luxury -- McDonalds will fade, but the high-end will continue to prosper. Our needs of the modern meat and vegetable pulp industries will be overtaken -- if you want a steak, it will be hunted and prepared for you. At a premium.

I like my vision better, in a campy 50's kind of way.

You're probably right though.

No. Mine is way too efficient (in terms of feeding the masses, time efficiency) and ecologically friendly to be possible.

Well, we can hope. Aside from doing what we each can, we are powerless against corporate interests.
