Cell Phone

Lifetime Air Time: 0270h31m

Web Comics

Daily: 10
Total: 16
Stocks tracked: 21

And I have more than 2900 miles on my car (oil change scheduled last week, dealership booked til next monday). WTF? I scare myself. Heck, I could probably give almost accurate statistics on the number of gallons of gas I've used, even. I also track kWatt hours and home gas usage. And I'm not a terribly perceptive or record-keeping person. I don't balance my checkbook or work out budgets.

270 hours is more than 11 days.

How do you know how many airtime minutes you've spent on your cell phone? You write that down every time you get a bill?

No, that's far more effort than I would expend (although now that Sprint has my old statements in PDF, the urge to write a couple of scripts to plot usage and distribution... anyway). With my Samsung 8500, it is a matter of Main Menu->Calls->5:Air Time->4:Lifetime. Most other phones I've used have had similar functionality.

It is honest about the usage of the phone -- of course, this is not directly how many minutes I was using it (I'd estimate about 2-3 hours of not-me, but maybe I'm way off).

I fail to consider that a victory.

Well, it is perhaps better than spending a hundred seventy hours writing e-mail. I bet I've easily done that.

Oh yeah. 78558 lines of outgoing email since Feb 20, 2002. 312294 prior to that, that I've saved, since coming to CMU. I'm sure you've got far more; in particular, I tend to get fairly fascist about removing large or small messages.

I think those LJ stats are pretty decent. Want to see the stats on my most used journal? It is a couple days shy of being one year old.

That's just one journal out of 5 that I've had and 3 that I currently have. Do not feel bad.

I'm on my fourth pcs phone, so I have no way of knowing. But given that I've had it since sophmore year of highschool, I'm guessing the number is huge.
