06:06 pm - Strong position in Candy
Bring on the children. In my continuing bid to mold myself into that cool neighbor down the street I always wanted... I now have quite a bit of candy. Choice candy. Full-size bars of candy. Lots of it. As one who was raised Pagan, its the least I can do -- its the holiday we can share with the masses, if predominantly juvenilles.

I'll probably have spare chocolate for months.

In other news, I was finally struck with inspiration and finished comic #2. jcreed claims that this week, comic #1 will actually be printed. He also indicated he'd print comic #2 as well (sight unseen, naturally!). This whole comic thing is pretty cool -- it feels neat when a script falls out. I'll put it in a public spot once published. Or at some point.

What, why you gotta play me like that? You gunna hate cause I happier spending some dough on random strangers than a new cd? There were those few in JP that had the full bars.

On a more serious note, Pittsburgh is depressing for Halloween. For living in a neighborhood full of children, I've had two kids come by so far. This isn't like when I was a kid, and we knew all the houses, all the routes to optimize hits, etc. And this is still better than Squirrel Hill, dense with Hasidics, Kids, and college kids (basically, Brookline/Newton)--where there is never any candy traffic. Sad.

Plus, in Beacon Hill you always risked hitting political candidates packing apples.

It's gotta beat holloween in milwaukee. trick or treating always happens the sunday before the 31st from 12-4pm. Then you get to see whatever spirit was left sucked away by the cars which unload a bunch of rude kids with no costumes who are just out to get the good candy. We didn't give kids with no costumes good candy.

ahaha I'm not hating! I think it's a very good thing you're doing, buying those whole candy bars for the kids. hmm that is so sad that you didn't get hit up much. Beacon Hill was pretty good usually but the problem is it's small. I found Cambridge to be the best place for trick or treating. They're rich and they're plentiful.

"Plus, in Beacon Hill you always risked hitting political candidates packing apples"

Remember freshman year when Pat Carroll and I were on the news trick-or-treating Sen. Kerry's house?? word.

way to be the nice guy. if that extra chocolate is causing you too much trouble:

Northfield, MN 55057
