Fadster.com is the latest peer-to-peer service craze, the leading p2p service trend service. Sign up here, and invite your friends to build up a dynamic network of p2p networks as they are being used. Who are the hot blog sites -- is LiveJournal better than ? Google-acquired Blogger or Moving Type? Does anyone outside of SE2600 use Memestreams? KaZaa or WASTE, IRC or USENET -- let your peers decide!

Fadster doesn't exist, and isn't registered yet. I think it might be the next big thing.

---

Which is a long winded way of saying I finally joined friendster to observe it as latest netculturephenom. Anyone else use it?

it's really not as much trouble as you are making it out to be. first of all, I found out that a number of my friends were already on friendster, so all I had to do was click "add this person as a friend", similar to livejournal. the networks are established for you, that's kind of the point. and if you don't have time to make new friends and talk to them, well, maybe friendster isn't for you :) and also, I've found a number of my friends from high school on friendster. you can explore your "personal network" and send messages to people who look interesting, or, either for want of idle time or energy, you can just wait for people to send you a message. "effort" is simply not part of the equation :)

I use it but it is totally boring. Ok, I have an account. Ok, I have found out one or two amusing links between people I had no idea would know eachother. But really it's not that great. I may use it for five minutes once a week. Eh. I'm not sold on the hype.

I think it's cool too, basically lets people post a short bio of themselves, not so good for introducing people who don't know each other, but sometimes good to let people who only sorta know each other learn more about each other and who they know in common.
