When I wake up. I take advantage of the freedom I have not to set an alarm clock. Ends up to be pretty early, lately 7-8-ish, for reasons unclear to me. Except that I don't do much at night, have been excessively exercising, my friends all heavily value sleep, and my body seems to like less than 6 hours. My bedtime reading, as of late, has ended up being annual reports, financial statements, and the like, which also cuts down on my "hyperconcentrate and read to dawn" habits.
2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?
I used to, but now that I (in general) get as much sleep as my body wants (not all that much), when I'm up I'm up. And lately, my Saturdays have been my most scheduled day of the week.
3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?
Let the dog out of his kennel, or hug/wrestle/harrass him.
4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?
It takes very little time. Sometimes I extend it indefinately, though. And it depends on whether the morning walk or running of the dog is considered "my day" or "getting ready".
5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?
I'm not really a breakfast person. However, I do frequently indulge my Northeast roots with a sack of fresh bagels, lox, and the Sunday NY Times. When possible, though, it would be better if it were fresh Montreal-style (yes, I betray my NY family, I admit it) bagels. But I've learned to make due with what is available in Western PA. On lazy Sundays, I may find myself at Crepes Parisiennes, or take vistors, friends and family to Pamelas.
